• 2017 TEA Post-Secondary Readiness Distinction Award

For the 2017-2018 school year, Pilot Point High School received a total of SIX distinctions out of a possible seven from TEA improving from the four distinctions from 2016.  The high school Ag Department had an American Star Finalist in Agricultural Placement and a National Proficiency Finalist in Nursery Landscape. Also, PPHS has joined TWU to become a part of the Pioneer Promise program.  With this agreement, the top 25% are automatically accepted into TWU, as well as one of our students will earn a $1,000 scholarship.

In 2016, our high school boasted the National Winner of the Outdoor and Recreation Entrepreneurship/Placement Proficiency at the National FFA Convention. Both, our boys and girls cross country teams advanced to state. Additionally, our band students set a record for the number of students going to state in sole and ensemble competitions; 61 qualified for state. Our high school also had a showing in the UIL Academic Regionals.
