Ms. Sally Morton

  • Welcome!

I am looking forward to all my wonderful students filling our classroom once again here at Pilot Point High School. I have a feeling it's going to be a great year! This is my 3rd year as a Special Education teacher and 6th year with PPISD. I plan on being active with our Happy Hands Sign Language group and the Special Olympics with the students. I have an open door policy and believe every student can and will be successful if they have the mindset to do so. I am CPI, CPR and First Aid Certified.

My focus is the students. It is my goal to prepare each student for the world's experiences they will encounter in the future.

My Birthday is September 3, 1968.

I enjoy traveling, working on Geneology, spending time outside, and doing things for others. I just recently was given the honor of having a playground named after me at my church in Arlington, TN. That was such a proud moment.

    STEP Class Rewards

Students have the opportunity to earn Fun Friday time as a class. We are a team, so we should get rewarded as a team. I'm hoping this will encourage the students to work together.

    STEP Rules

    1.     Be on Time

    2.     Do what’s Right

    3.     Do what’s asked of you

    4.     Clean up the mess

    5.     Keep your hands to yourself

    Notebooks and Crates

Students will keep the majority of their work in crates for each subject.  Students will have a spiral notebook for each class which will be in the crate as well.

    Supplies and Materials

Supplies and materials are to be returned to the appropriate location after use.

Students have the option to use a cubby as an alternative to a locker.  The cubbies are to be kept in order and “funk free”.  I don’t want to smell month sweaty PE clothes that you never take home to wash.

Notes and information regarding miscellaneous school functions and STEP will be sent home in a folder.  The students will be responsible for taking the notebook home and returning it to the proper location.
