Mrs. Pam Steckler

I am Pam Steckler, I am beginning my 11th year at Pilot Point Elementary, this is my 9th year as a second grade teacher.  My husband and I celebrated our 30th anniversary this past June.   We have 2 beautiful daughters, a son-in-law,  and 3 absolutley precious grandchildren.  My oldest daughter is a senior art major at UNT and my youngest is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, with plans to become a Physician's Assisstant.

I was born in Dallas, Texas and brought home to the very small town of Frisco where I grew up.  Growing up,  Frisco was the size of Pilot Point and look at it now.

I graduated from Texas Woman's University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Information Management and a minor in biology.  I received my teaching certification in 2008 and began my teaching career shortly thereafter. Currently, I am completing my practicum to receive my certification as an Orton-Gillingham trained Dyslexic Therapist.

When not working or planning at school I am usually spending time with my family, especially my grandchildren.  I love to watch sports, football is probably my favorite.  I am a huge Sooners fan and have been since I was a young girl.

I look forward to another exciting year of learning for both the students and myself in second grade.
