This notice is posted in accordance with the requirements outline by the 84th Legislature House Bill 1842 which gives traditional independent school districts most of the flexibilities available to open enrollment charter schools. Chapter 12A of the Texas Education Code requires school districts to adopt a Local Innovation Plan to access these flexibilities. Pilot Point ISD is interested in exercising the local control as provided by House Bill 1842, District of Innovation. Pilot Point ISD Board of Trustees adopted a resolution March 8, 2017 that initiated the process of applying for the District of Innovation designation.
If you have not registered in Parent Portal it is required that all families register. This is a great way for you to stay notified on assignments and grades of your child. Please visit the following website to register.
At the end of the school year, all graduating seniors will be given an option to purchase their Acer Laptop from the district. You should have received an email with information regarding the purchase of PPISD issued Acer Laptops. If you wish to purchase your laptop please complete the information according to the flyer emailed to you by May 1st and bring your $120 check made payable to Pilot Point ISD by May 4th. All laptops will be turned in and reissued to those buying their laptop to allow time for reformatting. Those purchasing laptops may not pick up their laptop until all school fees are paid.
